If you dont have kaspersky as your main anti-virus which is the best till now you can use the free online virus check from kaspersky incase you doubt any file downloaded from internet is suspicious
Just visit the link where you can upload any file upto 1 mb,browse the location of the file on your computer and submit
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
After few minutes it will show you whether the file is infected or clean
